Ultimate Guide to Correcting Your Posture

Here’s an update on a posture video! I uploaded a compilation a few years ago and wanted to give some new and improved thoughts in higher quality.

Many great posture exercises are out there! I tried to give ones that are easy to do and also work as standalone exercises.

I should acknowledge that some might argue that posture doesn’t need to be β€œfixed” at all. Just use this video if you like!

FUN TIPS TO FINALLY β€œFIX” YOUR POSTURE

Why Does Posture Matter?

Good posture is more than just standing up straight. It can also impact your health and well-being. Maintaining good posture can help prevent chronic health problems such as back pain, muscle fatigue, and even digestive issues. It also gives off a confident and assertive presence, which can influence how others perceive you.

Simple Exercises for Better Posture

1. Wall Angels: Stand with your back against a wall and your arms raised to shoulder height. Slowly slide your arms up and down the wall, keeping your elbows and wrists in contact with the surface. This exercise helps to open up the chest and strengthen the upper back muscles.

2. Chin Tucks: Sit or stand with your shoulders relaxed. Gently tuck your chin in towards your neck, creating a double chin. Hold for a few seconds and then relax. This exercise helps to counteract the forward head posture that is common in today’s digital age.

3. Cat-Cow Stretch: Get on your hands and knees, with your wrists directly under your shoulders and your knees under your hips. Inhale as you arch your back, lifting your head and tailbone towards the ceiling (cow pose). Exhale as you round your back, tucking your tailbone and chin towards your chest (cat pose). This exercise helps to mobilize the spine and improve flexibility.

Remember, consistency is key when it comes to improving your posture. Incorporate these exercises into your daily routine and make a conscious effort to sit and stand tall throughout the day. Over time, you’ll notice a positive difference in how you look and feel.

With these fun and informative tips, you can finally β€œfix” your posture and enjoy the benefits of a strong and confident stance. So, why wait? Start practicing these exercises today and feel the positive impact on your overall well-being.

I've been inspired to make better long-form content! I'm trying to balance the energy of the Shorts with the detail of the longer videos. Will be working hard to make it better for all of you!

Do you have any advice to fix posture or reduce back and neck pain for people who have hyper-mobility or double jointedness and are so stretchy already that a) most stretches don’t give any β€œstretch” or relief to anything and b) the posture issues are probably not caused by a lack of stretchiness?

I really appreciate you showing different ways/levels of each stretch. I'm very short and have a big belly. With your instructions, I am able to get the full benefit of stretching without the 'perfect' form.

Thank you for your funny and helpful video.
I have 1 question that's been bothering me for a while. Could i doing push ups while fixing my posture? To my limited knowledge, It feels like their effects cancel each other, because one strengthens chest muscle and the other one stretches it.

Another trick is perfect teeth, or the lack of a desk job, or never driving a car.
