The Official “Love Handle” Solution (LOSE STUBBORN FAT)

Getting Rid of Love Handles Once and For All

If you have love handles and want to officially get rid of them once and for all, you are not alone. Love handles, that stubborn area of fat around the lower abdomen, can be a challenge to eliminate. This is true for both men and women, but it can be particularly problematic for guys since they tend to store fat in this area more readily. However, with the right approach, you can conquer this challenge and achieve the body you desire.

Identify the Main Problem: Nutrition and Diet

The key to getting rid of love handles is first identifying the main problem, which is often nutrition and diet. No matter how much cardio you do, a bad diet will hinder your progress in the long run. To burn fat effectively, you need to establish a caloric deficit. This means you must improve your nutrition and make more responsible choices about what you eat.

Improving Your Nutrition

To achieve your goal of losing love handles, it’s important to focus on improving your nutrition. While you may have heard of the 80/20 rule for achieving goals, when it comes to losing love handles, you need to aim for a higher standard. Trying to be good 90% of the time and indulging 10% of the time can help you achieve the body fat levels necessary to get rid of love handles permanently.

It’s also crucial to include carbs in your diet. Many people mistakenly eliminate carbs when trying to reduce body fat, but they are actually beneficial in various ways. Carbs help maintain consistency in your diet, keep cortisol levels in check, and facilitate fat mobilization. Aim for a 2:1 ratio of fibrous carbs to starchy carbs to strike the right balance while still enjoying your meals.

The Right Training Approach

When it comes to training, there are three key things you need to do right. First, evaluate your training split. While popular splits like PPL or bro splits can be effective for building muscle, they are not ideal for prioritizing body fat loss. Consider incorporating peripheral heart action (PHA) training, which alternates upper and lower body exercises with no rest in between. This type of circuit training helps burn fat and build muscle simultaneously.

Additionally, don’t neglect training your obliques. Contrary to common belief, oblique exercises do not create a thick waist. It’s the fat that covers them that contributes to this appearance. By following the steps outlined above to reduce body fat and including targeted oblique exercises, you can achieve a visually tapered waistline that looks amazing.

The Role of Fasted Cardio

Fasted cardio is often relied upon to target stubborn fat areas like love handles. While it can have an impact, it’s important to remember that nutrition always comes first. If your eating habits are in check, then adding fasted cardio to your routine can help with those last percentage points of body fat that are keeping the love handles from disappearing completely.

In Conclusion

Losing love handles and getting rid of stubborn fat requires a comprehensive approach that includes proper nutrition and targeted training. By focusing on improving your diet, choosing the right training split, incorporating oblique exercises, and considering fasted cardio, you can finally say goodbye to love handles once and for all. Remember to be consistent, stay disciplined, and enjoy the journey to achieving your desired body.

I knew nutrition and alcohol would come up, because I started mixing up stingers to kick off this summer, and boom! love handles. Drinking seltzer water will help me moderate the cocktails.

For people like myself, 80-20 doesn't cut the last bit of stubborn body fat. I gotta get more like 90-10 and usually more like 95-5 to shred. I cycle carbs, but I tend to manage my caloric intake better while on my low carb days.

Nooooo, you burn close to 450 calories simply running at 6mph for 30 mins. On the other hand, by lifting you can barely burn 200. And if you are obese, you will burn less than that because you are not efficient. Jeff needs to STFU on Cardio. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Could you please advise how to add this program to existing playing sport/tennis ~5 times a week which as cardio exercise takes calories out of muscle building

Is not for PHAT the rest interval is ~3 min and duration is 1-2hours , is not PHAT does not really targets fat loss but rather muscle strength/mass?

Thank you. How the torso rotation exercises like bicycle or Russian twist need to be done to build muscles? With weights since since without weights they do not load enough? Typically PHAT repetition is less than 12, right?

Calorie defecit or 'Carb deficit' is more accurate is not an option! Formally from 203 and presently 156, you must reduce carbs along with Jeff's ideas to win the battle. For 40 years (now 64) I was a carb or refined carb addict … now I read every label for sugar content and eat a lot of greens along with my protein and healthy fats.
