Didn’t know it until I was an adult, but my mother was shamed and envied (by the majority) for having help (we had two full time nannies and housekeepers who would clean/organize/decorate the house while we would be off on our Family Day Fridays) and I came from a huge family. 9 kids and my mother wasn’t close with her extended family, but she married very well. My Dad came from an affluent family and is 11 years older and I’m telling you it is NORMAL in upper middle class/upper class families even for most stay at home moms let alone the women who have careers to have multiple au pairs, housekeepers, and a personal assistant. But they will lie to you/close friends about having help. Do not let these low achieving men and bitter women who married losers lie to you that it is not because they don’t have the money to outsource the mundane/hard work. My mom was given a very easy life and she never stopped playing ‘the game’ and my dad was obsessed with her because of it. She was not his maid, or his servant, she was the love of his life and her children were all raised with the absolute best of the best because of it. He could lose her if he did not pursue her/romance her. She always had options (even when I was a child I remember men being so flattered she would even look their way and they pursued her even knowing she was married i.e. ‘can I buy you this purse/you are the most beautiful woman I’ve seen today can I pay for your shopping bag’) and taught me the value of that. They’ve been married almost 30 years now and I have never had 90% of the dating problems and traumas my friends/acquaintances have had and I owe it all to my perspective on marriage and my worth that was passed down to me. I used to feel left out being 22 and unmarried unlike a lot of my friends but I gave it 3 years and ALL of them I repeat ALL OF THEM are single moms or single married miserable moms now while I have been set for life by TWO men and keep my roaster open with a very successful solo career. I have an easy life now too. Do not fall for dating for “love” ladies, give a legacy and children to the men truly worthy of it and one’s that can provide and protect you from a bad life. You can learn to love a man that kisses the ground you walk on even if you don’t feel that ‘spark.’ You cannot love a man who is lazy, it’s not natural and will deplete you of your youth, beauty, and your sacred womb. Glad to see the majority of women standing up to seeing how good they can actually have it and realizing their worth and their children’s worth ✨🫶💜
