10 MIN LOWER AB WORKOUT: Get Those Abs Burning!
Are you ready to take your abdominal workout to the next level? Look no further because we’ve got a killer 10-minute lower ab workout that will leave your core burning and your abs sculpted. Get ready to work hard, sweat, and have a blast with this intense routine!
1. Reverse Crunches
Start off by lying on your back with your legs bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your hands beside your hips for support. Slowly lift your hips off the ground, bringing your knees towards your chest. Pause for a moment and then lower your hips back down. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
2. Scissor Kicks
Lie flat on your back with your legs straight and hands by your sides. Lift your legs off the ground a few inches and cross your right leg over your left, then switch and cross your left leg over your right. Keep alternating in a scissor-like motion, engaging your lower abs throughout the movement.
3. Mountain Climbers
Get into a plank position with your hands shoulder-width apart and your core engaged. Bring your right knee towards your chest and quickly switch legs, bringing your left knee towards your chest while extending your right leg back. Continue this alternating movement at a quick pace, as if you were climbing a mountain.
4. Bicycle Crunches
Lie on your back with your hands behind your head and your legs lifted, knees bent at a 90-degree angle. Twist your torso to the left, bringing your right elbow towards your left knee as you extend your right leg out straight. Repeat on the other side, twisting your torso to the right and bringing your left elbow towards your right knee. Keep alternating for the duration of the exercise.
5. Leg Raises
Lie flat on your back with your legs straight and your hands by your sides. Slowly lift your legs off the ground, keeping them straight, until they are perpendicular to the floor. Pause for a moment and then lower your legs back down to the starting position. Control the movement to engage your abs fully.
6. Plank Hip Dips
Start in a forearm plank position with your elbows directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line from head to toe. Rotate your hips to the right, dipping them towards the floor without letting them touch. Return to the starting position and repeat on the left side. Continue alternating for the desired number of reps.
7. Russian Twists
Sit on the floor with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Lean back slightly, engage your core, and lift your feet off the ground, balancing on your glutes. Twist your torso to the right and touch the floor with your hands, then twist to the left and touch the floor on the opposite side. Keep alternating for the duration of the exercise.
8. Flutter Kicks
Lie on your back with your legs straight and your hands by your sides. Lift your legs slightly off the ground and kick them up and down in a small, rapid motion, as if you were swimming. Engage your lower abs and focus on keeping your core stable throughout the exercise.
9. Standing Side Crunches
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your hands behind your head. Lift your right knee towards your right elbow, engaging your obliques. Return to the starting position and repeat on the left side. Continue alternating for the desired number of reps.
10. Hollow Body Hold
Lie flat on your back with your arms extended overhead and legs straight. Engage your core, lift your shoulders and feet off the ground, and form a “V” shape with your body. Hold this position, keeping your abs tight and your lower back pressed into the floor, for the duration of the exercise.
