My Realistic 5am Morning Routine (Gym Edition)
Skincare
Every morning at 5am, I kickstart my day with a refreshing skincare routine. I believe in taking care of my skin, so I start by cleansing my face with a gentle cleanser that leaves my skin feeling clean and healthy. Next, I apply a hydrating moisturizer to keep my skin nourished throughout the day. It’s a simple yet effective routine that sets the tone for the rest of my morning.
Get Ready with Me
After taking care of my skin, it’s time to get ready for the day. I like to keep my morning routine streamlined, so I opt for minimal makeup. Just a little bit of concealer, mascara, and some tinted lip balm is all I need to feel confident and put together. I throw on some comfortable gym clothes, tie up my sneakers, and I’m ready to tackle the day.
Journaling
Before heading to the gym, I take a few minutes to journal and reflect on my goals and intentions for the day. This practice helps to clear my mind, set my priorities, and keeps me focused throughout the day. It’s a mindful and soothing activity that allows me to start the day with a positive mindset.
Breakfast
Fueling my body with a nutritious breakfast is a non-negotiable part of my morning routine. I usually opt for a balanced meal that includes protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates. Whether it’s a hearty bowl of oatmeal topped with berries and almonds or scrambled eggs with avocado on whole grain toast, I make sure to give my body the energy it needs to power through my workout.
Gym Workout (Cardio & Abs)
By 6am, I’m at the gym, ready to get my sweat on. I kickstart my workout with a cardio session to get my heart pumping and my body warmed up. Whether it’s a run on the treadmill or a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, cardio keeps me energized and helps me burn calories.
After cardio, I focus on sculpting my abs with a variety of targeted exercises. Crunches, planks, and Russian twists are some of my go-to moves to strengthen my core. Abs are an important muscle group to work on because they help with stability and overall strength.
Breakfast Number 2
After my workout, I refuel my body with another nutritious meal. This time, I aim to replenish my glycogen stores and provide my muscles with the necessary nutrients to recover. A protein-packed smoothie with fruits, spinach, almond milk, and a scoop of protein powder is my go-to choice. It’s delicious and helps me recover faster.
Overall, my 5am morning routine is all about starting the day on a positive note. By prioritizing self-care, staying productive, and fueling my body with nutritious food, I set myself up for success. Adding a gym workout not only keeps me physically fit but also boosts my mood and mental clarity. It’s a realistic routine that brings me calm and sets me up for a productive day ahead.
