Jesse From AthleanX – Natty Or Not?

Introduction

When it comes to fitness and bodybuilding, one name that consistently pops up is Jesse from AthleanX. With his impressive physique and dedication to his craft, many people wonder if he achieved his results naturally or with the help of performance-enhancing substances. In this article, we will delve into the world of Jesse from AthleanX and explore the question of whether he is natty or not.

Background

Jesse, a trainer and model, gained popularity through his association with AthleanX, a fitness program created by Jeff Cavaliere. He has garnered a large fan base thanks to his chiseled physique and informative workout videos. However, his impressive transformation has led to speculation about the source of his gains.

Natty Side

Supporters of Jesse argue that his physique can be attributed to his years of hard work, dedication, and disciplined training. They believe that with the right genetics and a strict diet, it is possible to achieve such a physique naturally. Jesse’s athletic background as a college baseball player also strengthens this argument, suggesting that his foundation was built through years of training and sports performance.

Enhanced Side

On the other hand, skeptics argue that Jesse’s transformation is too rapid and his muscle mass too dense to be attributed solely to natural means. They point out that the fitness industry is no stranger to steroid use, and many influencers may be tempted to enhance their physiques to gain a competitive edge. Although no concrete evidence supports these claims, the skepticism persists.

Evidence and Speculation

To truly determine whether Jesse is natty or not is a challenge, as there is no concrete evidence either way. Speculation arises from the belief that achieving his level of muscularity and physique at such a young age is highly unlikely without performance-enhancing substances. Additionally, comparisons to other well-known bodybuilders who have admitted to steroid use further fuel the debate.

Jesse’s Transparency

Despite the ongoing speculation, it is important to note that Jesse has never publicly admitted to using performance-enhancing substances. He maintains a strong stance on natural training methods and emphasizes the importance of hard work and consistency in achieving fitness goals. While this does not provide a definitive answer, it highlights his commitment to promoting natural fitness methods.

The Truth

In reality, it is nearly impossible to determine with absolute certainty whether Jesse from AthleanX is natty or not. The argument continues to be fueled by personal beliefs, speculation, and the lack of concrete evidence. The important thing to take away from this debate is that Jesse’s dedication to fitness and his ability to inspire others should not be overshadowed by the question of his natural status.

Conclusion

Jesse from AthleanX’s impressive physique and dedication to his craft have sparked a debate about whether he achieved his results naturally or with the assistance of performance-enhancing substances. While evidence and speculation can be found on both sides of the argument, the truth remains elusive. Regardless of his natural status, Jesse’s commitment to promoting fitness and inspiring others should be celebrated and respected. In the end, it is up to each individual to form their own opinion on Jesse’s journey.

Your not taking into account the fact that bulking builds muscle quicker than maingaining therefore he most likely wpuld have buult more than 20 lbs of muscle.. possibly 30 lbs with 10 lbs of fat.. then do a small cut.. much better

Jeff had many injuries and he said he ruined his knees in his 20's. It's not such a big surprise that Jesse is stronger.

As somebody who's always been as skinny or more skinny than Jesse before he started training. I actually have to eat an uncomfortable amount of calories to maintain 15% and I feel heavy and fatigue faster. Started my training 5 years ago around 8% because I only ate one meal a day back then and now I maingain at 10-12%
Just thought I'd share for some other skinny guys that you don't need to forcefeed up to 15%

Hey coach, as you have given me so much amazing info, just a small return, you lay bricks with mortar. Cement is the glue, and it needs sand, water, and even plasticizer to become mortar. Sorry, it's the teacher in me, and I realise how better than last time you are.

Greg I completely agree with you on that lean people should bulk up, I started lifting in school when I was about 17 but had no idea what to do and I only trained arms for 6-7 months with a terrible diet and terrible sleep schedule. From the years 17-19 I did this but also started working out other things besides arms LOL, I've had multiple body fat scans throughout the years and even had bloodwork done and I've always been about 6'0 tall and 155-162 pounds. Around 11% – 12% body fat or maybe even less you could see my ribs and could almost see my sternum. But in the past month and a half I decided to make a change and do my research I've started eating healthy increasing my protein intake and eating from anywhere from 3,100 – 4k calories a day and in this time I've went from 159 pounds and now I'm 171 empty stomach with a very tiny amount of body fat, barley even noticeable tbh but my gains have shot through the roof! it feels like every week I'm growing way more in size and strength and now I understand why I needed just a bit more body fat to make the proper gains this video has helped me in so many ways man, Thank you Greg!

IMO he's natural, he's not really muscular, it took him 5 years to change his body

If you eat 2500 calories for maintaining your weight, and you go 100 calories above that for five years, you will only gain 4% more bydyweight max. I weigh about 170 pounds, and i will stabilise at 177 pounds max with that increase. So that's the first time i see coach Greg has a wrong calculation. He forgot the new maintenance level increase weight by 4 percent.

I’m glad I watched the last half of the video.

I was thinking I would need to get a scale and start using My Fitness Pal again.

I’ve been on my to Half Way there for the last month and a half.

I’m 36, 5’10”, 160 ish. I was close to 165. I didn’t look too bad but I felt tired and my shoulders, knees, and elbows were hurting from my work.

I’ve followed your advice of adding 150 minutes of cardio a week plus some light strength training and have felt a big difference.

My weight hasn’t come down much but I’m more concerned with feeling healthier and changing my body comp over time.

I know this is and older video but thanks for all you do on here. I really enjoy your content!

I'm around 20% body fat slight definition in the abs and I feel like ass. sluggish and almost never hungry so most days I'm basically forcing my maintenance calories down (about 2,600 calories I'm 5'8 like low 130 lb area) so I'm thinking of going down to 12%-15% since I can maintain my current % with almost 0 effort

There is not a shred of evidence to support turkesterone, also they are now limited to 10% active ingredient so do not buy that garbage. Literally better off drinking extra water, and making sure you're sleeping 8-9 hours a night…

Jesse looks amazing and I have absolute respect for his gains. However, I don't know that I easily believe the 495 deadlift. After the AthleanX 'fake weights' fiasco, I question every heavy lift on that channel.

This guys right. If you're an ectomorph you increase a bit of calories to build some muscle to look, and feel good. If you're an Endomorph you most likely have the calories needed to build muscle, and need to cut back on calories to lose the weight in order to have the body you want.

I have a program from A-X. It comes with a diet & the interesting part about it, it's not a really "by gram" approach. It basically tells you to eat as clean as you can & be as consistent as you can.

It's an easy way to manage you calorie intake.

The exercises are questionable because there's a million opinions out there. One thing I can say, I found it interesting & not repetitive, which makes it easy to go through a training day. I can't stick to it though, sometimes the jump between weeks or the expectation from you is a bit high. It's as if the program is designed for someone who never has a beer or a night without 8 hours of sleep.

Great video.

my first year or two of lifting i put on 55 lbs, and cut 20, ended up being leaner than when i started. bulking is so much better than maingaining. why wait 5 years when it could be done in a bit over a year

Reply
nunnink av August 17, 2023 - 8:26 am

Yeah Jesse is likely natty as natty come. He can probably do another 15lbs in the next 5 years main-gaining.

Reply
Melody August 17, 2023 - 8:26 am

Thank you for saying one can gain muscle without bulking and gain a lot!!! I've been saying this for years from my own personal experience. I am so sick of bros who think they know better than me tell me I can't gain muscle with out getting fat at the same time. This stupid myth needs to stop!
