Article Title: No Jeff, Your Rule Doesnโt Work || Athlean-X Drop 5 Pounds FAST
Introduction:
Losing weight can be a challenging journey, and many of us are constantly on the lookout for effective strategies to shed those extra pounds. Athlean-X, a popular fitness channel on YouTube, recently released a video titled โNo Jeff, Your Rule Doesnโt Work,โ where Jeff Cavaliere, the creator of Athlean-X, discusses a rule that doesnโt always yield the desired results for weight loss. In this article, we will delve into the details of this rule and explore alternative ways to drop 5 pounds fast, making the process fun and informative.
H2: The Rule That Doesnโt Work
Jeff Cavaliereโs rule, as mentioned in the Athlean-X video, revolves around the concept of โless is more.โ According to Jeff, some individuals may believe that by eating less, they will lose more weight. While there is some truth to the idea of creating a calorie deficit for weight loss, it is essential to approach it in a sustainable and healthy manner.
H3: Understanding Calorie Deficits the Right Way
Creating a calorie deficit is crucial for weight loss. It means consuming fewer calories than your body burns, leading it to tap into its stored fat for energy. However, following an excessively restrictive calorie intake can have detrimental effects on both your mental and physical well-being. Instead of slashing your calorie intake drastically, it is advisable to calculate your daily caloric needs and aim for a moderate deficit of around 500-750 calories per day.
H3: Focus on Nutrition, Not Just Calories
While calories play a significant role in weight loss, focusing solely on them neglects the importance of nutrition. Aiming for a balanced diet that consists of whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains, is crucial. These foods provide essential nutrients while keeping you satiated and energized throughout the day.
H3: Get Moving with Effective Workouts
Exercise is an integral part of any weight loss journey, and incorporating effective workouts can help you drop those 5 pounds fast. Instead of solely relying on cardio exercises, including strength training in your routine can enhance your fat-burning potential. Strength training builds muscle mass, which in turn boosts your metabolism and helps you burn calories even at rest.
H3: Hydration and Sleep: The Weight Loss Boosters
Itโs common knowledge that hydration and sleep play a vital role in maintaining our overall health. When it comes to weight loss, staying hydrated helps your body function optimally and can prevent unnecessary snacking. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day and incorporate sleep hygiene practices to ensure quality rest. A well-rested body is more likely to engage in physical activity and make healthier food choices.
H3: The Role of Accountability and Tracking Progress
Making any lifestyle change can be challenging, and having support and accountability can make the process easier and more enjoyable. Consider enlisting a workout buddy or joining a fitness community where you can share your journey and gain valuable insights. Additionally, tracking your progress, whether itโs through photos, measurements, or journaling, can provide a visual representation of your achievements, motivating you to keep pushing forward.
H2: Conclusion
While Jeff Cavaliereโs rule of โless is moreโ may not always be the most effective approach to weight loss, understanding the science behind creating a calorie deficit and focusing on nutrition, exercise, hydration, sleep, and accountability can yield better results. In the pursuit of dropping those 5 pounds fast, itโs essential to adopt sustainable and enjoyable methods that promote both physical and mental well-being. So, letโs ditch the problematic rules and embark on a weight loss journey that keeps us happy, healthy, and motivated.

This guy sounds like heโs complaining and crying ๐
I can make a promise. I have a way that will let you Drop 5 pounds fast. Don't eat for 2 days, this will include your water weight. If you do 7+ days, you will lose 5 actual pounds of fat.
Damn what happened to common sense? Youโre going all Bart kay out on him๐
Few flaws with Jeff's logic
1. 6 to 7 meals means no rest for digestive system and increased inflammation
2. Planning and preparation of 6 meals will cause mental fatigue which will reduce will power to control your diet
3.smaller meal portions means you are always hungry
4.and you will bored soon coz u cooked everything u want too soon and will want something more so back to processed stuff
Coach just ranted 30 seconds about using the word "promise" ๐
So a medium-sized meal is defined as a meal that is between 500 and 900 calories. My tdee sits around the 1500 mark. So let's say i split the difference and eat six 700 calorie meals. That's 4,200 calories per day. Given my tdee, that's almost a pound gained a day. Now i understand that there is obviously more to it than cico, but calories are still important to keep track of, and at 4,200 calories a day, i would be obese in 6 months. So does jeff just not understand that words have definitions, or is he just really bad at math? Maybe he just sucks at biology and doesn't understand what mitochondria are?
Every time Greg says โPPPPromes โ I have to wipe my face
jeff used to make good content but his recent content is so unrelatable
I learned all I needed from
Jeff watching him incorrectly cat-spine deadlifting 405.
And donโt take weight loss advice from Jeff who maintains an unhealthily BF % year-round and has never struggled with weight loss in his life.
Greg is spot on.
I mean I eat every 3 hours, started doing that about 2 weeks ago. Also started eating french toast every morning since a week and bc of that I have to be aware of how much calories I'm taking during the rest of the day bc I have been bulking slightly. So yes, you really need to be careful bc you can get fat really fast if you eat that often.
Seriously what is up with these โinfluencersโ over complicating weight loss and working out. No wonder so many find it to be confusing.
As a philosopher I can easily reconcile this. This isn't really a sound critique of Jeffs advice. It should be obvious Greg that Jeff will never give advice the way you do and vice versa. Ya each have ya own style of approach. Yours is simple and his more "scientific". Thats like expecting you to start doing your vids the way Jeff does about "what the science says". And Jeff forgetting the science and just telling people to "train harder than last time:". What I see here is different approaches to fitness not a sound critique of someone giving subpar advice. His eating advice is tedious because it reflects the whole theme of his channel lol. Just as your advice reflects your image on the channel.
Hey Old Grog
I love Greg like a brother, but I have to be honest. I do think he's jealous af of Jeff Cavalierre.
I followed Jeff cavaliers plan.. but he Said all that matters is calorie in calorie out and balancing your macros out.. so I went from 190lbs to 140lbs in 4 months back un 2018 but I felt it was too skinny for being 5'11 so now I'm at 170.. I'd like to get back to 165 and maintain that
4:50 if Coach Greg ever starts a music career, that photo has GOT to be the album cover. ๐ฅ๐๐
This Guy is obsessed with Jeff ๐๐ He already has tons of video on Athlean-X brahhh!!!
At this time , I think heโs only doing this for views bro or heโs quite jealous ..
is there not an insolin increas when you re eating?
I worked with a weight lifter dude who left his work station every 2 hours to eat.
I'm here because I find Couch greg incredibly funny ๐๐ He doesn't even try to be
He asked for it. You were too nice to him.
Whenโs that protein isolate coming out?
I used to follow this similar plan called the fast metabolism diet. You need to eat half an hour from waking up If you are hungry or not and eat every 3 hours. It also did healthy carbs for 2 days and high protein no carbs for days and 2 days of healthy fats. You get a cheat day as well. It really worked. I lost 8 pounds in one month eating more food then I had ever eaten before. However I could not stick to it as i hate breakfast and could not keep up with the eating schedule. I thought I was cured. I went back to not eating so often and gained the weight back in about 3 months.
Thanks for shouting
I know people who have done this who lose the weight. I don't know HOW they do it but they do.
Also, they have to do loads of meal prep. You spend the whole weekend cooking and boxing meals for later.
